Winter — no bite score

Our bite model is built for open water, and this date falls in Moosehead Lake's winter. We're not showing a score rather than dressing up a number we don't trust.

Still good all winter: solunar major and minor windows, moon phase and moonrise/moonset — these are astronomical — plus the lake's depth contours and structure, which don't change with the ice.

Doesn't apply under ice: wind response (a wind band means little on ice and nothing in a shelter), the surface-light read (it models cloud cover, not light through ice and snow), and the estimated water temperature (it bottoms out at 32°F, which is true and tells you nothing).
